Context is King. This Substack is dedicated to bringing historical perspective, original sources and perspectives, and context to modern-day issues and controversies. History didn’t start in 1776, 1861, 1945, or 2015, and we shouldn't act like it did. Bad history is bad history, and it is a disservice to use it. TDP is all about bringing perspectives of many lay historians and experts to a world that no longer reads and no longer seeks context. Think of us as a Right-wing “Fact Checker” lol.
